First Words List

Early language development is one of the best indicators of later academic success. By using these and other words frequently, you will encourage your child to do so as well. When a child makes a sound similiar to a word, look at them, touch your mouth and say the word correctly. This will draw their attention to how you are moving your mouth to make the sound. Never scold a child for mispronouncing words and definitely to not use baby talk!
